TDI is the nation’s leading advocate for deaf and hard of hearing people’s equitable access to the phone, TV, cable, wireless and broadband networks.
TDI annually submits over two dozen filings to various federal agencies. Since 1999, nearly 1,800 filings in the Federal Communications Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing system are from TDI. Learn more about our policy comments at: TDIforAccess.org/news
During odd-numbered years, TDI hosts a biennial conference in the Washington Metropolitan area. The national conference brings together government agencies, industry representatives, and deaf and hard of hearing consumers. Since 1968, TDI published a national directory and resource guide known as the “Blue Book”. The directory is available online at TDIBlueBook.com, and is the go-to resource for finding locally based businesses, agencies, schools, organizations vested in the deaf and hard of hearing community.
