Of the 70 million Deaf people in the world, 98% have never been introduced to the Gospel! Even in areas that have established churches or a strong missionary presence, the Deaf remain unreached. They are often isolated, overlooked, ignored, and oppressed.
It is our desire to see Deaf communities transformed by the power of the Gospel so they can then be equipped and empowered to reach their own communities for Christ. It is the mission of DeafBridge to train and equip Deaf leaders to reach their communities through service, evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. Humbly serving the Deaf helps break the barriers of isolation and oppression. We can then begin to help others understand what it means to follow Jesus. Through evangelism and discipleship, we help the Deaf learn to study God’s Word, grow in faith, and be the church with the ultimate goal of establishing transformative, reproducing Deaf-lead churches in least-reached areas of the world.
