Profile
Communication Access Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Inc. (CAC) has been proudly serving Michigan’s Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind community since 1965. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors comprised of a majority of Deaf members.
Our two core programs include: community interpreting and our senior citizens program. We are grateful to be longstanding partners of the United Way and Valley Area Agency on Aging.
CAC is known for proving services that bridge communication and cultural barriers that exist between the Deaf community and those who do not sign. While we pride ourselves on a long tradition of involvement in Michigan’s Deaf community, we have renewed focus and increased Deaf involvement in our operations to ensure the highest quality services to the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing residents of Michigan.
Please come and visit us at our historic office building, Gilbert Hall, on the campus of the Michigan School for the Deaf.
